Maintenance is part of performance

Filters collect pollutants over time. As loading increases, airflow resistance can rise and treatment capacity can change. A purifier should therefore be evaluated as a maintained system, not as a device that performs identically forever after installation.

Inspect before the calendar says 'replace'

Fixed replacement intervals are useful planning guides, but real filter life depends on operating hours and pollution level. A filter in a clean, lightly used room may age differently from one exposed to construction dust or heavy urban particles. Follow manufacturer guidance and inspect at appropriate intervals.

Keep intakes and outlets clear

Dust can accumulate on grilles and surfaces even before a main filter is full. Clean accessible external surfaces according to the device instructions, with power isolated where required. Do not wash or vacuum filter media unless the manufacturer explicitly says it is designed for that treatment.

Check seals and fit

After filter replacement, confirm that the media is seated correctly and that covers or gaskets are properly closed. A small bypass gap can reduce the value of a high-efficiency filter.

Record service history

For offices and other shared spaces, a simple maintenance log is valuable. Record installation date, inspections, filter changes, unusual odors, noise changes and any service work. This makes future troubleshooting easier.

Safety for ceiling systems

Ceiling-mounted equipment adds working-at-height considerations. Routine filter access should be planned so it can be performed safely with the correct equipment and without damaging the ceiling or electrical installation.
